August 2016: PHP Discussions in the Sun

For August’s meetup, we decided to open the floor to all of you, and hold an open discussion. It was a sunny Monday in August, and after a few games of “PHPingPong” in the offices of our regular hosts The Student Room, we headed to the pub garden at the Battle of Trafalgar. There we discussed the perils of being a programmer in a businessman’s world, the pros and cons of microservices, and the importance of everyone in a team using git the same way.

We hope you’ve all been enjoying the weather and the Olympics, and look forward to seeing you all next month on Monday September 19th. We hope to update you with details of talks soon, but maybe one of those talks could be you? If you’ve got something interesting you’d like to share with your peers as a 20 minute talk, please do get in touch.
