Season’s Greetings fellow PHP folk! It’s time to celebrate the release of PHP 7.1! Oh, and that Christmas thing… ;)
You are cordially invited to eat, drink, and be geeky on Monday 12th December at the Grand Central pub, from 7pm.
So, I’m assuming you all rushed home after last month’s meetup to try PHP 7.0 after another excellent talk from Derick Rethans. If you need a reminder, or missed the talk, his slides are up on his website here. If you haven’t had a chance yet, then why not skip straight to PHP 7.1, which was officially released on the 1st of December; you can read the official release announcement here.
No news yet on the elusive cat that Marcus Griffith-Boyes was trying to catch on camera with his Raspberry Pi, but a big thanks to him for that talk too.
With the twinkling lights up over the streets, and office Secret Santas underway, we can no longer pretend that Christmas isn’t on its way. So we thought we’d give in to the cheer, and head down the pub for a festive drink or two. There’s a table booked for 7pm on Monday the 12th of December at the Grand Central – that’s the pub right by Brighton station where many of you have joined us after previous meetups. Note that unlike our normal meetups this will be the second Monday of the month, so don’t turn up a week late.
So come along, tell the triumphs or horror stories of your year; find new projects for next year, or recruit people to join you; or just have a few pints, order some pub grub, and have a good old natter! Don’t forget you can say you’re coming, and invite all your friends on the Facebook event.
