With the World Cup and Wimbledon coming to conclusion this weekend, some of you may be at a loss for evening entertainment. Fear not our July meetup is right around the corner on Monday 16th and we’ve got a great talk lined-up to fill the void. Tibor Besze will be showing us how to supercharge Google Sheets using Google Apps Scripts!
We’ll have cool drinks, plenty of pizza, and lots of discussion, at our usual venue of The Student Room by Brighton Station (here’s how to find us); turn up any time from 18:15, and we’ll get the talk under way around 19:15.
So, mark your calendars, come along, and do get in touch if you have any ideas for the group, or would like to give a talk of your own.
Supercharged Spreadsheets with Google Sheets and Google Apps Scripts
We all know the struggle, when a feature request sounds like the perfect job for a spreadsheet. But… there’s always a tiny detail that makes us believe it’s not quite enough to do the job. Or is it?
Tibor is a Full Stack Web Developer at Drone Doctor, responsible for building and maintaining great web applications in a fast growing industry. When he’s not working, he’s hacking on new technologies to stay on top of his game.
Show and Tell
Following on from Tibor’s talk we’ll be running a “Show and Tell” session. Similar to lightning talks it’s a great way to dip your toe in the waters of speaking, without the pressure of a longer format. 30 seconds, 10 minutes or anything in between – tell us about what you’re working on, a recent problem you’ve solved or maybe one you haven’t. Whether it’s the new hotness or tried and tested tech; serverless or legacy monolith – we’d love to hear about it!
